So, every morning on my way to work I pass this house where a stray cat likes to hang out and wait for her friendly human lady to feed and pet her. Not sure of friendly human ladies name as we only talk about stray cat, but basically she is working with a local shelter to take the cat....if she can catch her.
The cat was obviously a pet once, because she is not frightened by humans and will come up to be petted, but she is a very smart stray cat who doesn't want to be caught. Friendly human lady almost had her 3/4 of the way into a carrying crate when she slipped away and wouldn't come out of hiding. This morning, there was no crate and stray cat was being friendly again, but always wary.
Friendly human lady says she's worried that the cat will get in trouble with the cold and rainy season coming, but we both agreed that if stray cat survived weeks of triple digit heat, she must be smart enough or have a good shelter to hide out in. Either way, I hope she does get caught soon....
