Well. I've found this really awesome and helpful website called Roommates.com. It comes highly recommended, and I've found several potential rooms out in LA. Here's the catch tho. You can search for a room, email that person, etc., buuuuuut if you want to read their return email, you have to pay for membership! The money is worth it (only a few bucks for 30 days), but the principle of the thing still sucks. It teases you with these places :-/

Yeah, I tried using them and even wound up paying for the service, then got pissed as they only listed houses WAAAAAAAY out of my price range... craigslist is much better. (In my opinion... esp for California since it started out in California, I'd expect...)
